Non – Prescription oral tablets
Mild to Moderate
Daily or twice daily oral tablets work best when you have multiple symptoms (eye and nose based). If you know your usual allergy triggers, try to take your medication at least 24 hours before you anticipate you’ll need relief. If you tend to have seasonal allergies for multiple weeks of the year in the fall or spring, it is best to take the medication everyday for that time period.
This medication is often covered by your private insurance plan. 3 month supply available for $100.
Ingredients
Oral tablets contain either antihistamines or Leukotriene Receptor antagonists.
Directions / How to Use
Take by mouth once or twice daily depending on the product.
Claims
Oral antihistamines can be first or second generation. First generation are more likely to cause drowsiness but both relieve symptoms of itching, sneezing, runny nose, and watery itchy eyes. Leukotriene Receptor antagonists are an additional agent that can be useful for nighttime symptoms.
