In Canada, Zepbound® is indicated for adults with:
Obesity (a BMI of 30 or higher).
Overweight (a BMI of 27 or higher) who also have at least one weight-related medical condition, such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, or obstructive sleep apnea.
How to take Zepbound®?
It is administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection (under the skin) in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.
Dosing: Your doctor will usually start you on a low dose (2.5 mg) for the first four weeks to allow your body to adjust, then gradually increase the dose every four weeks until you reach your target maintenance level.
Device: It is typically available in Canada as a KwikPen® or a single-dose vial.
