What is Latisse®?

Latisse® (bimatoprost 0.03%) is a serum used to enhance the growth of eyelashes. It can be used on the eyebrows as well.

How does Latisse® work?

Latisse (bimatoprost 0.03%) is a prostaglandin analogue. It increases the number of hairs in their growth phase, making hair appear longer, thicker and darker.

You should start seeing a difference around week 4, and natural, fully grown results in 16 weeks.

What is Latisse® used for?

Latisse is used to enhance the growth of eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker over time. It can be used on eyebrows as well.

How do you take Latisse®?

Make sure that your skin is clean and free of makeup. Apply one drop from the brush onto the base of each eyelid once a day at night. Remove any excess solution and dispose of the brush after use.

Not only is it easy to use, but it only takes under a minute to apply each day. Latisse eliminates the need to use false eyelashes or mascara, which are much more damaging to your natural lashes. It’s important to use it consistently for the best results – your eyelashes will gradually return to their normal appearance if you stop.

If you happen to miss a dose, don’t double-up on your next dose. You should never take more than the recommended dosage of Latisse or apply more than the recommended amount.

Have any more questions? A healthcare practitioner at Jill will be happy to answer them for you during your online assessment.

What are the common side effects of Latisse®?

Side effects are rare but as with any medication, some people may be sensitive to it. Some may experience initial side effects of redness or darkening around the eye, and irritation. If you experience these, message our medical team through your account and we’ll discuss your options.

Who shouldn't take Latisse®?

There are still some people who shouldn’t take Latisse such as:

  • People who have a hypersensitivity to bimatoprost

  • People who have been previously diagnosed with elevated intraocular pressure (IOP)
