Product Information
Here’s a quick breakdown of your medication:

Loperamide is an oral tablet taken to treat diarrhea. It works to slow the movement of your intestines (by causing the gut to contract less) and slows down the time it takes for fluids and foods to move through them. This allows the body to start absorbing fluids and salts as it should, restoring stools back to a more normal consistency.

We offer regular Imodium as well as Imodium Multi-Symptom Relief which will also help with relieving cramps and pressure, gas and bloating in addition to diarrhea.

How to Use & Keep Using
Here’s how to use the medication

Regular Imodium and Imodium Multi-Symptom Relief: Take 2 caplets after the first loose stool and 1 caplet after each subsequent loose stool. Do not take more than 4 caplets in 24 hours.

  • Take with or without food
  • Drink lots of non caffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor
  • Do not take this drug longer than needed.
Missed Doses

If you take this drug on a regular basis, take a missed dose as soon as you think about it. If it is close to the time of your next dose (aka next bowel movement), skip the missed dose and take it after your next bowel movement. Do not take 2 doses at the same time or extra doses.

Storage, Stability, Disposal

Store at room temperature and in a dry place. Do not store in a bathroom.

Keep all drugs in a safe place, out of reach from children and pets.

Do not take if expired. Dispose through a drug take-back program if it goes unused or expires.

Side Effects

Remember, this medication is just for you. Side effects can occur, but not everyone gets them.

Most common side effects:

  • Constipation – if constipation occurs, stop using Imodium and contact us if the effect is severe. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, since proper hydration helps reduce constipation.
  • Nausea, vomiting, flatulence or dry mouth may occur but these also may be due to the diarrhea.
  • Tiredness, drowsiness or dizziness may occur – be careful driving or operating machinery.
Contraindications, warnings and drug interactions

Imodium is contraindicated if you are experiencing bloody or black stools, if you have a history of liver disease or history of abnormal heart rhythm.

Drug interactions:

  • Since Imodium slows down the action of the stomach and intestines, if you are already taking drugs that perform this action – these can make the effect of Imodium too strong. This can include some antidepressants and cold and allergy medication.
  • Sedating medication
  • Ritonavir (treats HIV/AIDS)
  • Quinidine (treats irregular heartbeats and also malaria)
  • Oral desmopressin (relieves excessive urination)
  • Itraconazole or ketoconazole (anti fungal medications)
  • Gemfibrozil (a cholesterol medication)

Hear it from our happy customers

“I’ve lost 30 lbs in the past two months. It’s really easy to inject (and doesn’t hurt) and it has completely curbed my cravings. Now I eat to fuel myself. Another 70 lbs to go but I’m feeling excited about my weight loss for the first time.”

F.C., 73, Toronto

”The program has stopped my bored snacking – I used to have trouble saying no to treats during the work day and after dinner. Now I’m better able to manage my appetite, and combined with starting to go to the gym and being more careful about what I eat at meals, I’m losing about one pound a week. I’m thinking this is the last diet I’m going to have to do. Hopefully ever.”

E.S., 34, York

”After struggling with weight loss my entire life, and not having a primary doctor I could speak with, I came across Jill Health online. After a short wait, I had my blood taken, results looked after, and an appointment to go over everything with their team. I am now at the beginning of a new journey to see if science (medication), a dedicated dietician, and hard work will finally get me where I need to be.I have nothing but positive things to say about every interaction I have had with their team so far. I had a difficult time finding reviews when I was first looking into this company, so I wanted to make sure others looking at their weight loss program could find mine!”
