A metabolic reset reduces the hormones that cause fat to stick around, which simultaneously reduces your appetite. That way, it’s easier to keep off the weight you lose.

We start with a full diagnostic blood panel to determine any underlying issues and deficiencies which may affect your weight loss. You’ll review your results with our medical team to understand your body, and how it processes fuel. We’ll then prescribe a medication that’ll work with your biology and life to aid in sustainable, clinically proven weight loss.
Then your customized plan is created with input from our medical team, Registered Dietitian, and other specialists. Your treatment is shipped (for free!) right to you.
Regular check-ins with your weight loss team keeps your journey on track. Weekly emails share tips and suggestions on building healthy habits. 30 minutes monthly with our Registered Dietitian helps you understand how to fuel your body to reach your weight loss goals.
“I’ve lost 30 lbs in the past two months. It’s really easy to inject (and doesn’t hurt) and it has completely curbed my cravings. Now I eat to fuel myself. Another 70 lbs to go but I’m feeling excited about my weight loss for the first time.”
”The program has stopped my bored snacking – I used to have trouble saying no to treats during the work day and after dinner. Now I’m better able to manage my appetite, and combined with starting to go to the gym and being more careful about what I eat at meals, I’m losing about one pound a week. I’m thinking this is the last diet I’m going to have to do. Hopefully ever.”

FAQ
Yes, to be eligible for the program you must be willing and able to take either Saxenda or Contrave.
Weight gain is often caused by many factors, and weight loss is likewise affected by many. Our treatments will help you lose weight and keep it off; the exact amount you lose will vary depending on what else you’re doing, and what your goals are.
With Contrave (one of the medications we prescribe), over a 12-month period, 40% of patients lost more than 5% of their body weight, and 21% of patients lost 10%. With Saxenda (the other medication), two-thirds of patients lost more than 5%, and one-third lost 10%.
These are the baselines you can expect. And when you use these medications along with lifestyle changes in diet and exercise, these weight losses can be significantly more.
In general, a weight loss of up to 2 lbs per week is what helps prevent major losses in muscle, and decreases in metabolic rate. So, based on how much you’re aiming to lose, you can take your current weight subtract your goal weight and divide by 2. That will tell you the number of weeks it’ll take at the max loss per week.
Our programs include two medication options: Contrave and Saxenda. We prescribe one of these two medications depending upon your goals, general health, and lifestyle.
Contrave is a twice-a-day pill that regulates your hypothalamus and the mesolimbic reward system in your brain, to stabilize your appetite and reduce hunger cravings.
Saxenda is an injectable medicine (very small, basically a pin-prick) taken daily or weekly that reduces appetite and helps your body digest sugar. We prescribe this drug for those that have significant weight to lose.
We will walk you through the dosages, side effects, and instructions for your prescription so you know exactly what to expect.
Generally, it is recommended that clients that start with medications should stay on the medication for 6 months to a year to stabilize weight maintenance before coming off of medication. There is no set date to stop the medication, but in the clinical trials studying these treatments, the medications were taken for 1 year. After 1 year, some people may choose to continue to take the medications for weight maintenance. Our medical team can help you transition to a maintenance program once you achieve your goal weight.
For all our weight loss programs, you’ll be placed on a three months subscription.
We also have a 30-day money back guarantee that if you cancel within the first 30 days, we’ll refund you the payment you’ve already made.
While regaining weight can be quite common after coming off of a treatment, our program will help you establish lifestyle habits that will help prevent weight regain.
There are many reasons for weight regain, such as an increase in calorie intake, decreased activity, and decreased metabolic rate. Our program aims to support you in learning how to eat in ways that promote satiety, maintain an active lifestyle, and prevent major declines in your metabolism.
You can expect to lose weight steadily for a few months, however you may find there are times that your weight loss plateaus and then restarts again. This is totally normal and a sign from your body to take a break from losing weight. It is extremely hard to continue to lose weight in a linear fashion for months at a time. It is important to incorporate phases of weight maintenance where you get comfortable maintaining a new lower weight. Incorporating weight maintenance phases can also make it easier to restart losing weight, and prevent weight gain.
The most effective way to lose weight is safe, sustainable, and long-lasting.
Weight loss programs that use medicine to address the issue at a cellular level aren’t common. We tailor your weight loss plan to the biomarkers we get from your blood test results, the amount of weight you want to lose, and your lifestyle.
With Jack Health, you’re getting dietitian consults, medication, pharmacy support, blood test interpretations with a medical team, ongoing care touch points, helpful and educational content and a team of Canadian experts cheering you on.Memberships and pricing
While going on an intense diet is often not sustainable, making dietary changes can be a sustainable option that can come with additional benefits.
As we lose weight, we lose both muscle and fat. To keep muscle mass and aid fat loss it is important to eat foods that support sustainable weight loss and muscle maintenance. Dietary changes can also help improve biomarkers, better manage and prevent health conditions, improve pain management, improve energy levels, improve sleep, and help you be a stronger, healthier you. Changes to your diet aren’t necessary with our treatments. However, the rate at which you lose weight will increase with lifestyle changes.
Monitoring what you eat and increasing your daily movement will help you shed weight faster, as well as build healthy habits that help maintain your goal weight long term.
The best program is one you’re comfortable and confident in following: we’ll help you figure out what that looks like for you.
Once you’ve completed your blood work and met with our team, they’ll determine which medication (if any) is appropriate for you. At that point, we’ll make sure we have your insurance information and then process the order. Once submitted, you can expect your delivery within 2-5 days.
You’ll be provided with a tracking number so you can verify where your order is. Easy!
Most benefits and insurance plans will cover a portion of your treatment’s cost, and will often cover the support fee as it covers your consultations with dietitians and other experts. We double-check what’s covered for you before processing payments, so you know upfront how much the program will cost. Any consults with our experts, like dietitians, outside of the baseline care of the program will often be covered by your insurance.
You can also request a review by our pharmacy team to see exactly what’s covered by your insurance: just send them an email at pharmacy@jill.health with your policy number and carrier.
Some insurance plans include an HSA – health spendings account. This account can cover a wide variety of health spending including fit bits and health trackers, consultations with dietitians or health coaches, and even personal training.
Depends on the medication you are prescribed.
If you are prescribed Contrave, the cost per month for the program is $400. If Saxenda is the right medication for you, the cost per month for the program is $500. The drug manufacturers often have patient support promotions that can be applied to assist with this monthly cost as well. We’ll check to see what is available for you and will apply any discounts to the drug cost.
Each customer will also be charged $40 per month for support – this covers off your access to Registered Dietitians, Nurse Practitioners, expert content and consults. It’ll also cover off delivery straight to your door of your medications, as well as blood work diagnostics and analysis.
All patients are put on a three-month subscription. After the first three months, you’ll decide whether you’d like to continue on the medication.
Once you’ve completed your blood work and met with our team, they’ll determine which medication (if any) is appropriate for you. At that point, we’ll make sure we have your insurance information and then process the order. Once submitted, you can expect your delivery within 2-5 days.
